this is an early event warning for you;

Microsoft is arranging a TechFest. TechFest = TechNet+MSDN, but Tech.Ed style.

Date: 23rd Oct 2008 & 24th Oct 2008
Time: 0900 - 1900 hrs

This is a paid event; You pay $99.

For $99, you get the following;

- 3 MS Press Books (1 on Windows 2008, 1 on SQL 2008, 1 on Visual Studio 2008) total worth $168.
- 1 Keynotes and 12 Break Out Tracks
- Up to 42 Hands On Labs (Covering PowerShell, Hyper-V, Business Intelligence, SQL Security, Silverlight2, WPF)
- Free Access to Microsoft Consulting Services & MVP (MCS folks' time are super expensive, make sure you come and ask them questions)

Also, the first 100 paid attendees will receive Tech.ED SEA 2008 DVD Set (Comprising of Tech.ED US IT Pro and DEV DVD Sets) worth USD$1xx. It contains all the video presentations and slides of those presented in the US. They have the best TechED sessions in the world... Super huge sessions.

I think most people may have the same question I had in mind. Are the content of the track going to be similar to those in Tech.Ed SEA?

Since this event is held on 2 working days, I think IT Pro who are interested need more information on the topic in order for them to bring up to their boss and ask for sponsor.

Nonethless, I personally feel that it's worth to pay $99 for this since the books is already worth more than the ticket. Moreover, through this event we get to meet Microsoft Consulting Services & MVP to ask them question.

If I can I will be going. Got to check with my boss first.
